Windows 11 is the newest Operating system from Microsoft that supports newer AMD and Intel processors. If you install Windows 11 on a computer that doesn't meet the minimum requirements, you'll run into a watermark that's located on the bottom right-hand side of your screen right above the time. It's annoying to say the least, but it's small and doesn't get in the way of much. It's not as bad as previous watermarks that were left by older Windows Operating systems.

Below is a guide on how to remove that eye sore of a water mark as seen below or check out our YouTube video here:

1. To start, open Registry Editor in Administrator mode by typing Registry Editor in the Windows Search Bar.

2. Navigate to the following Path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\UnsupportedHardwareNotificationCache

ree

In the UnsupportedHardwareNotificationCache folder, you'll see a SV1 with a value of 1. change the value from 1 to 0.

Press "OK" and reboot your pc.

After your computer is done rebooting, you'll see the watermark removed as pictured below:

It's important to note that this should only be used for personal aesthetic reasons. Windows may release an update that can render this workaround useless in any future update.

This workaround should not be used to upgrade unsupported machines and sold.
