Writing an email template is a great way to automate and cut down on time. Simple emails that are written a thousand times a day can simply be written once and with a few clicks of a button, sent out over and over again. Here are some simple email templates that can be used within outlook (or any other email application you use) to help automate your responses to users.


When you switch to another PC and install Outlook, these templates transfer.



Password Reset

Subject: Password Reset


Hi [User's Name],


You recently requested to reset your password for your [Product Name] account. To create a new password, click on the link below:


[Reset your password]


This link will expire in 24 hours, so be sure to use it right away.

If you did not request a password reset, please ignore this email or contact us at [support@productname.com] if you have any questions.

Printer Troubleshooting

Subject: Re: [Subject of the previous email]


Hi [User's Name],


Thank you for contacting the Helpdesk. I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your printer.


To help you resolve this issue, I need some more information from you. Please reply to this email with your answers to the following questions:


- What model of printer are you using?

- How is the printer connected to your computer or network?

- What error message or code do you see on the printer or the computer when you try to print?

- Have you tried restarting your computer?
